Our VIPEleonora Tully, also known as ‘Coastal Crochet’, is a crochet designer and crochet blogger. Eleonora is well known for hosting her colourful blanket crochet-alongs with people from all over the world taking part and a global community has formed around her designs.
Eleonora has crocheted for many years having initially learnt in childhood and then in 2015 undertaking the International Diploma in Crochet. As a result her crochet designs are very varied and she embraces a variety of crochet techniques. Living by the sea provides Eleonora with lots of inspiration for her crochet designs and she has had numerous designs published in UK crochet magazines, as well as designing for a variety of other companies and events. Eleonora regularly teaches crochet workshops for beginners through to teaching more complex techniques and enjoys giving talks on the subject too. |
2023 Competition - theme is 10!As we are celebrating our 10th Show, we would like you to share your interpretation of 10 - creativity is key!
Our competitions have proved popular in previous years, this year to celebrate will be the theme of “10”, so entries could be a knitted pair of sock with 10 stripes of different colours, a pair of gloves with 10 fingers, 10 buttons on a cardigan, 10 different stitches in a shawl, 10 different square designs on a blanket,10 themed toys or could have an actual 10 somewhere on your knitted, crochet or felt design. The organisers are encouraging people to bring along their handmade creations (no pre-registration needed - judging by VIP Guest at 12.30pm on the day). |
Our chosen charity since 2017 is KNIT FOR PEACE, we will be accepting donations of knitted and crochet items + spare yarn and accessories at the show, which we will deliver on your behalf after the event. Donations can be left in the baskets in the Atrium area of the hotel.
Currently they are in need of large blankets, twiddlemuffs, adult jumpers and adult & child scarves, gloves and socks. They also need funds towards their distribution costs (donation button opposoite if you can help). Knit for Peace supports charities at home and abroad, knits for people from 0-100! Check out the Knit for Peace website here. |
Accessibility
We have chosen the Marriott hotel because of its accessibility. There is a section in the car park for disabled parking. The show is all on one level, the only exception being a breakout seating area which is on the Mezzanine level. We leave as large aisles as possible. If you have any further requirements or questions please use the contact form before the show so we may accommodate you.
Please let us know if you need access to the workshops and we will ensure someone can remove any excess chairs in the rooms.
